My turn on the Bittersweet Blog Hop

Posted by Leanne Ivanoff on

With so many gorgeous fabrics in Sue Daley's new range Bittersweet my mind was in a total spin with ideas for all the wonderful things I could make, from gorgeous little dresses and skirts to some really cute and funky toiletry bags.

As my mother is having a birthday soon and after much debate (in my mind) I decided on The Filigree Double Zip Pouch by Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness. This pattern makes a great gift and would look perfect in Bittersweet. It also gave me the opportunity to try out one of our other new products Flex Foam.

I was so spoilt for choice with all the gorgeous feature fabrics and coordinating prints, of course then came the next great debate which of the stunning fabrics was I going to choose ... does anyone else have this problem when they see a new range ?

After way too much thinking (as it really doesn't matter because they are all my new favourites !) I decided to choose the following.

The Filigree pouch is a great pattern it comes in three sizes and has so many uses from toiletries to a travelling project bag, with two zipper pockets to separate your supplies.

I am really happy with the results.

And of course because I couldn't make up my mind in the beginning and I have two granddaughters I couldn't resist making these sweet little Olivia Skirts. The full Bittersweet range can be found in the Riley Blake section of the Sew Fab website.
